MJF was the driving creative force behind the idea of Kevin Knight vs Kenny Omega at AEW Redemption, FightfulSelect.com has learned. He'd long wanted whoever was TNT Champion to challenge Kenny Omega after beating him for the title, it didn't specifically have to be Knight.

The theory is sound but Knight isn't all the way there yet and the build is missing something. Put Speedball in there as an x-factor (beef with Knight, asked Omega for the first shot, and being in Canada) and now you've got something.
