The artwork Untitled (wheelchair II) by Mona Hatoum, a British Palestinian artist born in 1952. Created in 1999 from stainless steel and rubber, Hatoum transforms everyday objects into unsettling and even dangerous forms, evoking emotions like desire, repulsion, fear, and fascination. The artwork is a wheelchair with four small wheels and a smooth, unpadded seat that tilts forward uncomfortably. The small wheels require assistance to push, but the handles are sharpened like serrated knives, punishing anyone who attempts to move it.
