Rehabilitation of the Russell footbridge - Pedestrian and cyclist - From the week of February 17, 2025 to summer 2025. - Centre of Montréal Nature of work : Following an agreement with the Town of Mount Royal, Projet REM will carry out repair and modernization work on the Russell footbridge. On-site mobilization of construction facilities will begin the week of February 17. The Russell footbridge will be inaccessible from March 5 until the summer of 2025. Impacts and mitigation measures : - Noise, vibrations, dust and trucking could be caused by this work, which will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. - Complete closure of the Russell footbridge as of March 5. - Partial closure of one lane on Canora Road between Russell Avenue and Surrey Road and partial closure of one lane on Dunkirk Road between Devon and Glengarry. - Adequate signage will be installed and flaggers will be on site to redirect vehicular and pedestrian traffic. - Environmental monitoring will be deployed by environmental experts. - Appropriate mitigation measures will be put in place when necessary.
