Finally went back to my old Seimitsu LS-32 lever (w/ bat top) and PWS V1 buttons. I was having constant issues with the JLX2 and Otto Mod JLF, and my KS buttons were just too mushy, despite being aesthetically better looking. Now everything is just right.
