Text reading: As the two spoke, Tiny Tim had finished making his way across the house, unlatched the door, and was now making his way out into the cold winter night. Scrooge hurried after the boy, passing through the door as it swung shut behind Tiny Tim. Despite the hypnotic state Tiny Tim seemed to be under, Scrooge could see him shivering against the chill, dressed in nothing but a threadbare shirt that hung down to his knees. A parental urge prompted Scrooge to move to help the boy but as he did, Scrooge heard the source of the singing draw even closer, and the old miser froze in place as dread filled his heart.
