Hello gardeners / botanists can anyone say what is going on with or bay tree ? It's got plenty of new growth coming on but some of last years leaves are going black. #Gardening 馃尡

I'd guess mostly fungal leaf spotting. Did you get a really wet winter? Is the plant getting sunshine all day long and good air circulation? And speaking of sunshine, that leaf lower left, looks like it has a bit more than a fungus issue; maybe sunburn.

Yep. Take out a few stems to open it out and let the air in.

Could be one of a few things. Fungal leaf spot, the result of aphids, or waterlogged roots.
