My calendar on July 2026, with the 8th marked as "Sonic 35th Comic", since that's when the new Sonic anniversary comic is releasing.

The movie was great fun! It had a bit more substance than I thought, but yeah, it's basically 90+ minutes of Mario/Nintendo iconography. But that's what I expected, and that's what I got! I was pogging at all the references, the scene with Wart and his crew was peak, STAR FOX DUDE (he was awesome, even if he felt very minor), the fight choreography was crazy good, the music was great (istg it referenced Famicom 3D Hot Rally when they're on the bikes), and oh yeah, I THINK ONE OF THE LUMAS REFERENCED KIRBY??!?!?!?!?!?! I do wish Rosalina did more than just get kidnapped, but aside from that, I really liked it!
