German police identified 21-year-old Abdul B. as the suspect in the Berlin Tiergarten park vehicle attack. He was shot and killed in a police standoff. Reports indicate he was previously known to authorities for links to Islamist extremism.
Instead of wounding to disable him we will now never know full motive and accomplices. Something the US police regularly do, but Germans should have more sense.
