flo-bit @flo-bit.dev · Apr 23 i have a blento user question: would you rather have a lot more features/customizability but the editing gets more complicated or you'd prefer it stays roughly as is/gets only a few new features but stays simple to use? with more features the editing experience could look a bit like this:

lots of services have a simple/advanced toggle, i think that would be neat blento works really well on mobile, the simplicity is great for those who are used to linktree or carrd templates but i do feel like some customization is lacking so an advanced mode would slap
I vote for simple. More cards and more platforms support should be the way imho. a viable business plan would be if blento was able to have business-related cards (easy menu with prices, map that syncs data back to OSM, "when is it open" also dynamic with a is it open now, and probably more)
I haven't used blento a lot, but last time I tried I felt kind of limited in terms of customizability. So I think I'd vote for more features.
More features, with toggle to take people from simple to advanced. I’d also like to see more embed options available. Would be cool if Blento could really be a jumping off point for a blog, socials, articles to share, etc. Also make sure to keep optimized for mobile. Mobile editing is important.
I would definitely like a bit more customisation, and I’d also really like to be able to but a header above each of my cards so people can see what they are.
I vote more features but the people saying do both are making a compelling point as well

maybe switchable mode? i’d say keeping it streamlined will make the barrier of entry lower for those that just wants to get started quickly. but the advanced mode could be a way to monetize? idk. depends who your target audience is, atproto peeps are more likely to be technical imo
I prefer the main mode to be simple, but no problem having more advanced options ^^
I’m fine with the Bento-style UX remaining dead simple and intentionally constrained if I can have other whole-site templates to pick between. Like, same constrained editing & widgets, but for a different design modality, e.g. something more prose-centric in the shape of macwright.com
More features and customization. Perfectly fine with the complexity.
