Both marches have now concluded, with the Metropolitan Police saying that 43 people had been arrested for offences across the two marches, as of 7.30pm. The force also said that four officers were assaulted - none of them seriously - with a further six officers subjected to hate crime offences, while there were 22 additional arrests at the FA Cup Final.

Greetings from Israeli prisons. We were intercepted aboard the boat Madleen 110 nautical miles off the coast of Gaza-that is, in the middle of international waters. This was an act of piracy. We are used to dealing with a rogue state. It is urgent that our European governments impose concrete sanctions on Israel: an end to arms sales, a suspension of diplomatic relations, official recognition of the Palestinian state, and a full economic and cultural boycott of the country. The fact that Israel is now rushing to intercept boats farther and farther out in international waters shows just how deeply threatened they feel by the growing outcry against the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

A week later, Rogers started losing some sensation in his hands and tried to have the MRI rescheduled, but the approval from his insurance company never came. While waiting for said approval, he and his family holidayed in northern California and by the time he returned on December 30, he says he lost "about 20 percent sensation and a similar amount of mobility in both arms."
