A 🧵 First, the message is “working class” == White. All the Black people I know work. All of them. So these terms are a big choice that conservatives AND leftists repeatedly make. Second skeet: Ironically, the group most stagnant since 1980 remain Black Americans. And since the narrative is that government is “devoted to helping Black people,” the undermining and delegitimization of all government policy is incredibly easy to achieve.
