For a lot of them, even visiting a museum wouldn't help (it certainly didn't help the South African neo-Nazi who took a trip to Auschwitz)
It's not that they don't understand the implications of what they are doing; it's that they believe that the torture and mass murder of innocents is a holy act and that the destruction of society is the will of god. Because they are insane.
