We’re excited to share that ForgeFX Simulations is working with MRIGlobal to expand access to U.S. Army CBRN drone pilot training.

Through a new U.S. Army subcontract supporting the Capability Program Executive for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CPE CBRND), our Unmanned Vehicle Tele-Operation Training Simulator will be converted into a secure, browser-based application delivered through the Joint Acquisition CBRN Knowledge System (JACKS) for authorized personnel.

The simulator trains UAS pilots, sensor operators, and mission commanders to operate the Teledyne FLIR R80D Skyraider drone and MUVE™ B330 biological detection system in realistic airborne biological threat detection scenarios.

This effort will help make advanced simulation-based training more accessible, scalable, and repeatable for teams preparing for complex mission environments.

Great 3D training simulators start with great 3D art. High-impact training doesn’t begin with code—it begins with realism, accuracy, and craft. When trainees are asked to trust, learn from, and interact with virtual equipment, visual fidelity matters.

We’re proud to share a glimpse of the exceptional 3D artwork created by ForgeFX Simulations artists for our ongoing collaboration with the Capability Program Executive Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CPE CBRND) on the CBRN HoloTrainer. This augmented reality training solution supports Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Special Operations Forces (JPM CBRN SOF).

For this project, our artists developed highly detailed, interactive digital twins of complex CBRN detection devices, laboratory instruments, and supporting equipment. Every control, connector, sensor, and consumable was carefully modeled to ensure what users see and touch in AR precisely matches real-world equipment used in mission-critical scenarios.

These assets are more than visually impressive—they’re foundational to learning. High-fidelity 3D models enable accurate procedural training, side-by-side reference and practice, multiuser collaboration, and safe, repeatable training without risk or consumable cost.

From handheld detectors like the MX908 to intricate regulators, glassware, and lab systems, this artwork helps trainees build confidence, muscle memory, and situational awareness long before encountering hazardous materials in the field.
