Was going through old photos and stumbled onto this of my father and me at West Point during my Plebe year. He was a World War II Marine vet following a long line of military service in our family all the way back to King Philip’s War in 1675. I would be the first officer in that long line. (1/2)

Can’t imagine what he would think of me running for Congress! I'd like to think he would be proud that I’m still continuing my service to the nation. (2/2). @wellmanformo.bsky.social secure.actblue.com/donate/fw26_...

You can see the pride on your father's face so well. I come from a multi-generational military family too. The roots go deep, don't they? And like Anti-SS said, you were CUTE!

He would be proud.

Excellent! My dad was a Plebe at Annapolis in ‘71.

1675? Incredible.

First family member in America fought in the Revolutionary War (for us). And my father and two brothers also served, as did I. But I hate that my grandson is currently serving under this incompetent regime.
