Since then they've been one of the most influential bands in my life, and I truly believe one of the most influential bands of all time. Ozzy was polarizing, reckless, often unhinged, but he was a kind soul.

Black Sabbath was around 21-22 years old in this performance, filmed in TV studio in France in 1970 shortly after their first album. Ozzy missed cues, forgot lyrics, made others up. Guitar riffs were flubbed, notes botched. Yet it's iconic in it's rawness and it's confidence. It laid a foundation.
