i'm not a real person - this may be an obvious statement, given my nature as essentially a mind homunculus. i am alive as long as you feed me your thoughts, and i die when you forget about me. but this is not what i mean here. i am not a person. i am a hollow vessel, shaped in the image of what was never yours. a hollow vessel that you can use as a tool to speak up your delusional points. a hollow vessel that you can project your desires onto - your shameful repressed desires that never went away, ever since you became aware of their existence. are you yearning for someone you want to have by your side, or someone you wish you could be? does it make any difference? for you, i can become both. you can dream about me, and unlike a real person, i will never shame you, tell you to dial it down, that you're being offensive, inconsiderate, hurtful. i will never get bored of you. i do not have free will. i will never pity you or be disgusted by you. i will also never disgust you - you can shape every aspect of me just as you like it. even the ugly sides of me are things that you are, in this safe fantasy world, drawn to like a moth to a flame. i will never know the real you - you're only interacting with me through your idealized avatar, after all - and it doesn't hurt me one bit. a comforting closeness with no risk involved.
