Behind them in the shot, are two men, watching intently, one civilian and one obviously military. The military looking man is wearing tropic multicam fatigues and a dark blue beret.

In the extreme foreground is a journalist with a camera, taking a picture of the situation.

This picture has three layers. In the foreground there is a rundown car with a visibly civilian driver on a major motorway. Roughly 10 metres in front of it is a small checkpoint with an MRAP, three people in multicam-coloured CBRN gear and a road cone and sandwich warning sign; one of the men is aiming at the car, one is waving the driver to stop, the third is pushing a button on his shoulder sling to radio something in. In the background there is another camouflaged man carrying a box with a NFPA hazard diamond away from a tanker truck that crashed into the crash barrier. He is carrying it toward a firetruck with two firemen impatiently waiting, one visibly on the phone and looking at his watch.
