Squardle XXXXS is a new game mode that uses a 1x1 board. You get 10 guesses to find the 1-letter word that's going both vertically and horizontally across the board. As solving the only square always mean that you've won the game there are no bonus guesses to collect. Speaking of the game: You just lost The Game.

Text next to the screenshot: If you’re playing on a device with a physical keyboard, it’s a bit too easy to not pay attention to the on-screen keyboard and thus type in a letter that’s already black or dark gray there. This leads to feel bad moments. Also, “Can you avoid pressing the letters that are marked on the keyboard?” isn’t supposed to be the skill-testing part of playing Squardle. For this reason the next big update will include a feature that also temporarily darkens the squares on the board where you’ve typed in black or dark gray letters. Note that you can of course still guess words with those letters. If you dislike this change, it will be optional. So it can be turned off in the settings.
