big illustration about the thematic connections between Deltarune and the movie Angel's Egg. Noelle is the focus, standing in profile holding a big egg like the girl in Angel's Egg, and in her darkworld form with her long white dress and greenish-yellow hair flowing in the mysterious winds. behind her is a backdrop of a giant spiral shell fossil, like what lines the walls of where the girl lives in the movie. There's detailed filagree at the top with a bunch of characters in stone and a pair of large fossilized "angel" wings at the center, connected to a png of a human skull. on the sides, there's border panels topped with eggs (whole on the left, cracked on the right), inside of which are a wite-out pen labelled "correction fluid" "WHITE PEN of hope" pointed downwards towards a rose at the bottom on the left, and on the right it's Kris' sword pointed up with a rose at the bottom, but this one has lost all it's petals and all that remains on the stem is a single red pixel. woven throughout both panels and throughout the filagree are bright red thorny vines, whcih flow unbroken on the left but are broken on the right, with the cut end spiraling around the tip of the sword. connected below these panels are similar smaller panels with black roots over an indigo-to-black gradient. these then connect to the bottom of the illustration: the shape of the IMAGE_FRIEND (side note: i kinda regret including this thing cause im kinda sick of it choking up deltarune discussion) in the shape of endoginy (like from chapter 3), with panels within each of 4 cat shapes made by it's legs. the panels from left to right show: the silhouettes of little Kris, little Noelle, Asriel, and Dess walking hand-in-hand through the forest (to the right); Asriel and Dess alone in the forest; Dess alone in the forest, faster and more determined now with a baseball bat; and present-day Kris standing alone in the forest, facing left.
2 sketches of Ralsei from Deltarune, wearing the dress from Angel's Egg. the left one is a small ralsei looking down with a surprised and bashful face at the dress, which is oversized like it is for the girl in Angel's Egg, and there's a very large egg on the ground next to them. on the right is a larger colored sketch of Ralsei in the same dress, but this time it fits (i just noticed that in Angel's Egg her dress is big, and that it's probably an adult dress. for those who haven't seen the film, there is an important scene where she sees her adult self). Behind her is a backdrop of a big spiral shell fossil, set to a very low opacity because i haven't decided what i wanna do with it yet. the image is ornately framed like an old storybook or midieval manuscript, or at least it will be when i finish it. for now, this is what makes up the frame: the top is a real skull png with giant angel wings, as a fossil, like the angel fossil in Angel's Egg, the bottom is image.friend with the endoginy legs like in Ralsei's chapter 3 monologue. the sides are two shapes... like uh.... tootsie roll shape? i dont know how else to describe. in the left one nearest to noelle is a rose at the bottom, on the bottom of the right one is a dead rose with the petals fallen to the bottom of the shape. sprouting from the lower pionted tip of the tootsie roll shapes are roots, and from the top are 2 eggs reminiscent of the new eggs at the end of angel's egg, but pointed up instead of on their side, because it looks better and more like the eggs in deltarune. idk. lots of empty space.

The cat is sitting atop a pillow. in the painting this references, the jester is sitting with his elbows on the arms and his hands clasped in contemplation, but in this drawing the cat is too small to do that, so his forearms are resting on the chair arms. he's slouching, has a bit of a paunchy belly, and his face is all grumpy. his legs and feet, of course, don't even come close to touching the ground, and they dangle out in front of him.

The feet of this unitard have long, pointed, floppy tips of excess fabric with orange pompoms at the ends. The jester's cap also has three pompoms on either point, and 3 little orange buttons on the neck portion. The cat has green eyes and is very dark brown with lighter stripes on it's face, and a fur pattern that makes him (and the client's friend's real cat that this guy was based on) look like a sad clown, but in this image he's smiling. the ribbon on his ribbon baton is the same dark green as his caplet, and the butterfly is black and yellow with stars on its wings.

He has 6 eyes (again, only half his face is visible here so it's 3) and 1 extra eye in the center of his forehead, courtesy of Ebin. Upon closer inspection, one of Ebin's pinkish-red eyes (sort of like Kyubey) is glazed over white, as it's being used by his patron. Ebin has a large, devious smile on his face, and is holding up one of the giant jingle-bells. Everything is blowing in the wind, there's snow all around like a blizzard, and it's dark. the lighting looks like you've shone a light on them in the dark woods.
