Sciggles discord text from yesterday at 5:08pm The reply I saw saying all our ads are community based only- that isn't true. We work with third party advertising and have for years. I don't have exact numbers on hand but it does account for around half of our funding every month and something Fur Affinity still needs to pay the bills. Payment processors is a big reason Dragoneer banned cub porn all those years ago and why things are restricted with minors in certain content. If you aren't seeing those 3rd party ads I'd imagine it's because of having FA+ which turns 3rd party ads off while keeping community ads. It all stems from what Dragoneer set up before he passed. I'm not saying it's his fault. This update was done without him obviously. But the rules and policy before that post were things he green lit. I acknowledge and agree that the approach made is not a good solution. It was one made out of a huge amount of stress and pressure to rush out something. Which is not okay I'm really sorry for that. I know saying I'm sorry won't fix it. I am very aware that people are RIGHTFULLY angry. But that's also why I am still trying to take in feedback and listening to see what we can do to make it better. There is no making everyone happy...but I know we can do better than what was pushed out. And I take responsibility for not doing more and spending more time working on it before this.
