prunes in a fluted ceramic cup, prunes prunes prunes they are dark, the cup is white, they are on a wood table, prunes!!! oh god, what are we all doing here?
V swoopy v decorative, ornamental even, tinted black glass. it is on a marble or faux marble countertop. i dont like it.
Crinkly glass bowl, sharp patterns like a flower, very 80s decorative glassware imo, i dont actually know the period but its pretty cool imho. not tinted this time, but the image is kinda fuzzy.
Humble little rectangles of sweet dust. One claims it is bourbon flavoured, this one wonders if it is true, or if it is a LYING LIAR LIKE ALL OF ITS SEED CAKE FRIENDS. the other one is a custard dream!
Beautiful carraway seeds infest a seed cake that is otherwise mostly cake, on the yellow side, is it the light? Hard to say, it's a fairly yellow cake at the best of time. Imho, this one looks too moist. It's best on the dry side, with butter. What a far away taste those carraway seeds have. So subtle, so strong, so strange. A sad, musty taste, like an archaic form of medicine, once needed, now lost. A visit from a off-shore breeze, unknown, unwilling to be known.
Yum rows of sandwich, three layers of orange and green and yellow fillings. Egg probably, tomato. Time for tea and salmon. Time for midori and ceviche. A row of sandwiches cuts boldly across the others on the platter, laid atop like a difficult-to-pick-out-amongst-all-the-sandwich statement: this is my club sandwiches. This is my finger food contribution.
