Enrollment in teacher preparation programs declined by 42% between 2010 and 2015. But between 2019 and 2022, enrollment rebounded slightly, rising by 12%.
According to the Pew Research Center, 58% of teachers deal with student behavioral problems daily, and 28% handle student mental health problems daily.
