Title: Four ways to resist rollback Attacks on gender equality, the rights of women and girls in all their diversity and wider LGBTQI+ communities are accelerating globally - impacting all areas of their lives - across countries and decision-making spaces. At a time of declining aid flows, it is all the more important for governments to prioritise international influencing with a coherent approach across multilateral engagement and the UK’s diplomatic posts abroad to resist and combat this rollback. The UK government must take action to defend gender equality and advance the rights of women and girls as a matter of urgency. Here are four principles to guide the government’s approach.
