The four stoic virtues -- Wisdom Courage Temperance Justice. Wisdom The ability to see things as they are, rather than how you want them to be. It involves putting aside your own biases and beliefs to look at something objectively. Temperance The knowledge that abundance comes from having what is essential. It's often used interchangeably with "self-control". Justice The duty to do no harm to others, to do good, and to remain trustworthy. It can also be described as a social virtue. Courage The ability to show up every day and do your best, even when you don't feel like it. It involves resisting the idea of comfort and happiness. Stoics divided courage into sub-categories such as endurance, confidence, and cheerfulness.
