BE: Did you guys have to play test the Oreos? Because that seemed like the hardest challenge. AK: That one we couldn't. We had to just stress that it was gonna work. That one went through a bunch of iterations too. It was actually our prop assistant Mitch [Thompson] who came up with the brilliant pitch of the colors being intermixed, but the flavors being what mattered. When he pitched that, I remember Sam being like, “I don't know what I've done to make my crew start thinking so diabolically about these challenges that he would come up with something so sick.” NR: Originally that that part of the game was going to be shishito peppers. AK: I imported peppers from Spain for that. We literally got overnighted these Spanish peppers to test. It was crazy. We were doing so much testing for that.
Exactly! But if we replace that with, I don't know, Sam coming in and pulling a twist, a very specific part of the internet would be happy. Survivor aside, what else can you tease about the rest of Game Changer Season 8? There are celebrity cameos that people were very excited about. They were utilized in such a fun way, and I know talent was really excited that they were there for it. It made for such a fun vibe, and I think everyone will agree when they see it. There's one episode in particular that… I mean, I’m hesitant to say, but I think it's gonna be one of the best Game Changer episodes that's ever been done, which seems like a huge shot to call, but it is just so chaotic and fun. I think there's seven players involved. I don't want to be so vague with my teasing, but it's phenomenal.
