Word Play is designed, developed, and - crucially - balanced around the English language However, the game does support custom dictionaries through modding! After launch I'll show you how to add non-English words, characters, tile distributions, and letter values

I’m betting someone will beat me to it with a Swedish mod, but if anyone needs assistance, hit me up

It's not something you'll find in the options menu, but that's for a reason - the game would have to be completely redesigned for other languages. But! If you're more comfortable playing with mots, Wörter, palabras or ord, this could be a fun alternative way to play!

How many words are in the English language dictionary for this game? (Sorry if you've answered this elsewhere and I just missed it).

I know Unity is pretty much moddable these days (even if compiled with Il2CPP), but still, it would be nice to have a video talking about designing/programming with modding in mind.

I'm definitely interested in modding it to add Polish. My mom would love this game!
