I upload a picture instead of letting the link resolve the thumbnail because Bluesky is kinda ass in that regard. It makes the thumbnail dim and overall just lame. So I upload the image as a JPEG file instead. Sadly it's not clickable. I mean you CAN click it, but it only enlarges it. You can't click it if you're using your phone. You have to physically touch it with one of your appendages. Gross.
HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION: You are destitute, starving, and roaming the streets that you call home. You happen upon an alley as you look for a garbage dumpster to search for this week's meal. You find a dumpster and scavenge through it, but alas nothing edible is found. It begins to rain and you spot another dumpster further down in the dark alley. You decide to investigate even though your bum leg is starting to act up. You make it to the dumpster, your leg in great pain. As you begin to sift through the discarded filth, you notice that you have competition. It's a giant rat with several maggots feasting on it, but it's still alive and it's trying to get the food that you're after. The rat looks delicious to you, so you decide to grab it. But as you do another hand is reaching for that very same rat! You look to see who's trying to claim your food for their own. It's the re-animated corpse of Bill Bixby!! You shove Bill Bixby onto the ground, claiming that the maggot rat is yours to eat, as you haven't eaten in a week. Bill Bixby claims that he hasn't eaten since 1993 and is quite famished. A brawl ensues. Punches are thrown. Every dirty fighting trick in the book is used. Bill Bixby attempts to turn into a green Lou Ferrigno, but he's unsuccessful since Lou is still alive somewhere and has not yet been re-animated. This gives you the advantage over Bill Bixby. And ultimately the decision is up to you. So my question to you is this: Is Super Mario Bros 3 your favorite? Or do you prefer Super Mario World over that one?
I was just as surprised as anyone to discover that they are still making games for the old XBOX brand of consoles. However Forza Horizon 6 was announced on the console (and PC) as a timed exclusive for a few weeks before it comes to the mighty PlayStation 5, which is the most powerful console ever made in human history (every loves it. Everyone’s talking about it). But since I have the previous 900 Forza Horizon games all on the Xbone, I decided to get part 6 here on that console as well rather than wait as they would all look nice together on the shelf, and that is what really matters. Also I figured that it would be a nice sendoff to my Xbox Series X, one final new game to play on it. I’ve played this much longer than any other Forza Horizon game. They’ve made just enough improvements to make things more bearable, like free-roam unlocked from the beginning to any road you’ve already driven on. There are also the “Discover Japan” segments which can often be a nice break from the normal racing of the rest of the game. However the game could still use some improvements. The Festival vibe is getting tiresome, and so are the countless amount of people who insist on talking to you. Absolutely NONE of their dialog can be skipped. If you do a Discover Japan segment more than once for any reason, you have to listen to the dialog in its entirety. And it’s not even good dialog. The Jordan Chambers character is especially grating. The pandering Japanese accents that are occasionally inserted are laughable. At one point, a character says “drifiting” (pronounced similar to “da-dift-ing’) but says the word with non-Japanese inflection whenever she utters it again in the game. Why? The game is also filled with the same stuff as the previous titles, houses to buy, barn finds, the whole nine yards. The map needs better filters as it is very cluttered. Discover Japan is seemingly the only new gameplay thing that seems to have been attempted.
Bored already with this one. I'd be disappointed but I guess it's my own fault for buying it. I'll say the same thing when I buy part 7.

The Elgato 4K60 S+ is the best video capture device Elgato has ever made, which is likely why they discontinued it. I prefer to capture externally, fewer shenanigans to interfere. But this unit often gets confused. It takes forever to boot up. Did you boot up without the SD card already inserted? Oops, we're gonna blank your screen while we boot up again! It also likes to tag certain HDMI signals as HDR when they are not, and I have to tell FCP that said clips are NOT in HDR. Also the record indicator blinks on and off as it's recording. That means you have to take your eyes off the screen for longer to see if it's blinking once you forget if you pressed record or not. There wwre plenty of other issues witht he stock unit that I worked with Elgato to fix, and as far as I know my unit is the only one that has those fixes... mainly the audio sync that will otherwise drift with 60.05Hz sources (ie: Nintendo). Still, overall this has been a good unit once you get used to its quirks. It does have the advantage of being able to provide MOV, MKV, and MP4 wrappers. I don't need MKV or MP4 however. I'll be keeping it around as a back up. When the shit starts flying, you always need a back up handy.

Speed is not really a concern when I edit as I'm pretty fast, and I'm not sure how this could possibly help me. I also have a Blackmagic "Speed Editor" which came free with my purchase of DaVinci Resolve (did not want, it just arrived in the mail with my Resolve USB dongle) and nah man... just way faster with a mouse and keyboard. But because I edit video I get this thing advertised to me. Looks cheap as hell but it's actually like $170.

Blue Sky was started in part by the guy who started Twitter. Twitter is owned by Elon Musk who made Cadillacs and Dinosaurs for the Sega CD. Back to Blue Sky... for some reason Blue Sky has a very restrictive character limit for posts, but for pictures? Not so much. So the character limit is not due to any kind of technological limitation. It's designed to limit YOU! Yes you and your speech. Just when you were about to finally say something that would expose THE MAN, you run out of characters! Oh well can't post it I guess. But Blue Sky unknowingly left the Alt Text character limit super high, so we can expose THE MAN here in secret. This is where we must all rally and communicate... in the ALT TEXT of image files. It's genius! Just like me. Anyway, back to this Ys Origins which is the subject of the image. This was sent in to promote said game... but it did not include the actual game! What did DotEMU expect us to do with this? Post it on social media and say "Heeey look at this fake book! Ys Origins yo!" And then people would be like "Holy crap! A picture of a fake book that has Ys Origin on it? Dear god that is awesome! I'm gonna buy the game right now!" Marketing departments are weird. Like... they can somehow find the money to design and manufacture crap like this, but they just can't afford to press actual game discs? You know... the thing people actually want? Well, Limited Run Games makes a lot of money by manufacturing worthless trinkets and crap to go along with the games that they sell, so who knows? Do people really like that stuff? I mean they must otherwise they wouldn't still be doing it. It just makes me hate people more than I already do. Oh well...
