Don't want to fill up timelines with this too often but... Given all that's going on with Grok generating all sorts of terrible shit against women and minors, this is probably not the hill you want to die on. Arguing against what should be indefensible to any reasonable person.

Someone needs to check Tim's drive if he's defending Grok

He is making a rather strong case for regulating "AI" much more strictly in general. "All major roller coasters have documented instances of going off the rails, despite manufacturer's best efforts to combat this." Is not a statement you'd make to defend rollercoasters.

Me when I am in a bad takes competition and my opponent is Tim Sweeney:

> all major AIs have documented instances of going off the rails my brother in christ i've yet to see chatGPT call itself mecha-hitler. also, it's not like someone jailbroke grok, this is a feature they are promoting lmao
shippage · Jan 11
He says on the terrible closed platform despite better open platforms existing lol.
DrBill · Jan 11
Yeah...like they shouldn't be responsible for the things they produced...musk should be criminally responsible for it.

I know Sweeney always has awful opinions but this is really stupid even for him. This isn't an AI "going off the rails" as he said. They're literally using grok to generate revenge porn and child pornography based on real people and monetizing it. The whole company needs to burn to the ground.

It's Tim Sweeny. He's the king of bad takes.

Sometimes, you really can't just sit by and say nothing. Get off X / Twitter.

Meanwhile, chatGPT refused to generate a graphic I asked for with a man and a woman, both fully dressed, embracing and gently kissing - this is "best effort", maybe even going a step too far. What Grok does is monetization of exploitation, not "best effort"

I knew Tim Sweeney had said some dumb stuff before, but oh, that's bad...

Bro is just trying to use this situation to get Epic Store on consoles. He doesn't care at all.
petard hoistee · Jan 11
Ah yes, X the open platform where political opponents are unsurpressed. I just can't understand this desire to rush to the defense of a childporn app.

Sounds like Tim Sweeney needs all his storage devices seized
@juice260.bsky.social · Jan 12
Yeah, I’ll go uninstall Epic from my windows drive. Booting it up for the occasional free game that I won’t play already feels like making a business call (something I loath).
