When you need reservations to play games and buy consoles and equipment you know the industry has died

Of all the news sites, in all the world. @gamingonlinux.com is the most relevant to the steamOS...
I somehow got on the 512GB + controller reservation but no mention on when it will be fulfilled, also not sure yet if I will even buy it if it comes to it...
I've just gotten my email for being in the reservation queue (for 512gb, even though I signed up to both 512 and 2tb). No idea when I'll have the opportunity to buy though, we'll see!
I got my waitlist email as well. Imagine all the people who have said that they don't want it because of price, but still insisted on signing up for it. Guess we find out in 72 hours.
BYO and just install steam OS and save a few hundred? (Yes I know that's not the point, but still)

Ouch. Sorry that happened to you. I wish there were more Linux games? A lot of people are going back and making text-based games using things like Evennia (powered by Python/Django). But yeah, it sucks when you want to play something, and don't have the hardware. Any Linux games I don't know about?
