DS firmware versions prior to 2005-02-28 featured a GUI bug where a back button input could be reigstered before the menu animation completed.

I test here each of the button combinations on PictoChat. You may need to turn the volume up to hear them well. The L+Right combination still makes no sound, because it is explicitly empty aside from the invalid header. To get them to play, I've set the frame delay to 4 frames, which is the same as the normal chime's.
An excerp from an ISC file I created. At offset 800h is where the footer begins with a CLRF block that describes whether each screen tile is cleared or not.
