Such a lovely movie. I think it fairly accurately portrays some aspects of life in Tokyo (for some)—to take pride in work even at non-glamours job and and also to have a simple hobby or passion that seems to occupy the other part of life. But also tension between independence and loneliness.

I had to use a smaller brush to fit all the characters in regular hanshi (half-sheet) paper. I don’t use it often and struggled to write strokes with the shapes I wanted. But at a certain point you have to let go, so I did.
