I don't see any mention of packing the court in either attachment, but there is a list of meaningful and overdue reforms.
Might I suggest a term other than "packing" which carries a negative connotation. Not sure what the correct choice is but I'm sure there is one.
Why use the expression "packing the Court?" The language implies something nefarious. There are 13 Districts. There should be 13 justices. Doesn't that sound more compelling?
IDEK if Gallego is a moderate so much as he's a bellwether for bandwagoning whatever side of the issue de jour is polling best. Either way it's a pretty good indicator of where popular sentiment on the Court is right now.

I think its a tit for tat solution. I think a better route is to hold traitors to the constitution accountable. Never before have we had actual rights taken away. That doesn't happen in a serious country. Any justice that agrees with a Kavanaugh stop in 2025 should be flogged and jailed.
I think DC statehood would be more popular if it were sold better - “DC is the national capitol plus a whole bunch of neighborhoods full of normal working Americans who don’t get a vote in Congress” rather than “sweaty lil’ Hill staffers want their own state”
I confess I’m not a fan of this idea, if it’s even feasible. It’s not a matter of how many judges; it’s a matter of who picks them. An R president and Senate could just as easily fill those seats. It’s a matter of electing Dems to fill vacancies.
I won't applaud for basic decency nor elevate any one representative for it. I'm going to need this to be everyone's BASE case scenario.

"Packing" a court which the GOP has been packing for decades is actually "balancing" or "unpacking" the court. I'm not going to use GOP framing, just because the media will eagerly adopt it.
Why call this “packing the Court”? That’s not the right approach. Congress should reform and improve the federal judiciary to end the corrupt actions and abuses of power. The Constitution needs it. The Senate has failed with bad confirmations. The legal profession has been negligent, too.
Expanding the court. Expanding. No need to relate this to a failed plan by FDR. Expand the court to make sure there is 1 justice for every circuit.

Please stop using the misleading term “court packing." Its sole connotation is negative. Increasing the number of justices on Scotus is a POSITIVE. With 9, a cohesive controlling block of 5 is too easy to achieve w/o term limits and increasing turnover. FIVE robes controlling our country; 5 kings?
it's not "packing the court". It's adapting the size of the court to a different time. By increasing the justices to 21, hopefully with a rolling term limit we will achieve two thing. First reduce the importance of each justice, secondly disconnect the appointments from political gamesmanship.

The term "packing the court" is a negative misnomer. I believe the phrase would be expanding the court, as has been done before, to meet the needs of the country.
