There are only two reasons I can think of for why Vance wouldn't run: 1) Trump plans to run (despite the Constitution) 2) He doesn't want to deal with all the "couch fucker" questions.

There is little point in Bowman trashing his chance for 2032 by running in 2028. Either there won't be an election because Trump has fucked over democracy or the R candidate will get tarred with monumental failure for getting so few votes. Which it will be is still open.
