Scuti And... uh... since I've already went off script, I'll just give it to you straight. Here in 212X, the Underground's in pretty dire straits. Overpopulation has strained our food supply, and has left a lot of monsters without homes, or even basic utilities. Boss thinks that pouring the money we get into public works, and basically tricking people into thinking they're happy will work, and, while it has in the past, it's just not cutting it anymore. My oath I took when I joined Royal Sciences was to use my knowledge to better the Underground. Taking people off the streets?.. Enforcing draconian labor laws?.. Things like that aren't in line with my oath. So, Sans, Papyrus and I are aiding the... opposition. They're not perfect, and... some of them want to kill me... but it's better than this. I even fixed up one of my old robots from the Steamworks to help them out with their crops! She was in a pretty sorry state, but... I'm kind of an engineering major, so, I'm pretty used to that!
