Gherinn, the lizard bounty hunter is almost entirely cocooned in heavy, slimy and constricting coils that are squeezing the life out of him rapidly. Even his mouth is gagged with a thick loop. On the left are several currently active status effects inflicted upon the poor bastard. They read: *Gherinn cannot regenerate stamina this round! *Gherinn's mouth is coiled! *Gherinn's neck is coiled! *Gherinn's chest is coiled! *Gherinn's arms are coiled! *Gherinn's waist is coiled! *Gherinn's legs are coiled! *Gherinn is hypnotized! [Spellbound, 5 rounds] *Gherinn is poisoned! [Paralyze, 2 rounds] *Gherinn cannot [Resist] *Gherinn cannot [Squirm] *Gherinn cannot [Endure] *Gherinn cannot [Appeal] *Vyntir uses [Squeeze] and crits! A crew of anthro bounty hunters find themselves entangled and ensnared by a large and powerful monster, a being composed of a large number of Dire Worms joined together. On the left, the avian Ela has her head forcefully tilted to the side to expose her neck while still keeping her entrapped, where one of the fanged worms administers a venomous bite to her. The venom appears to have put her into some sort of trance. In the middle, the lizard Gherinn is almost wholly encased, with only his face and hands exposed. He twitches slightly as the coils compress around him tightly, wringing every last drop of air from his lungs. A lit cigarette dangles from his mouth as he looks as though he is about to lose consciousness. On the right, Bohemian is almost wholly buried in the coils of the worms, frightened as he is forced to watch what is about to happen to his friends. He tries to avert his gaze, glancing up to the massive beast that looms overhead. Behind him, one of the venomous worms begins to ready itself to envenomate the helpless moth. And behind them all, the colony named The Lurking Legion stares down at its prey coldly. On the "head" of the beast, they wear an old tattered chestplate as a makeshift helmet, and from within the large hole in the breast, something catches the ambient moonlight, looking as though the beast has a glowing eye. The colony mentally projects a voice to its three prey thanks to their psionic capabilities. The voice is deep, gravelly, and sounds like a whole room of people speaking in perfect harmony. "Your collective struggles amuse us. However, they are pointless. Submit to your fate."
A serpentine woman stands in the corner of a dim room, lit primarily by a screen with the words "SECURITY LOCKDOWN IN EFFECT!" displayed multiple times across. She's holding her position in front of a metal door with two weapons drawn. One is a large pistol with a mounted scope and folding suppressor, while she aims a multi-barreled PDW emitting four bright red lasers. She's smiling, clearly amused with the trouble she's gotten herself in. A lit cigar hangs out of her mouth. She's adorned with tactical stealth gear (in contrast to the rather brazen and carefree attitude she has about the apparent approaching threat) as well as a large duffle bag across her back. The tip of her tail presses a touchscreen pad for the door, and the pneumatic halves begin to retract into the floor and the ceiling slowly.
