Using 6011 electrode at 70 amps on 1/4” steel. It seems to penetrate well after grinding. Occasional undercut and porosity. I grind it and go over it again. Can’t go above 70 amps or my 6kW inverter shuts down. Tried 6013 but it seems to shut down more frequently.
Heck yeah!! I’ve been learning to weld recently, mostly MIG but also a little stick and most recently TIG. It’s so incredibly satisfying. I would love to build a trailer, it’s on my list for this year!
