But when it comes to the big screen and potentially single-player games, it’s going to be a while before Marvel’s out of either doghouses. That this whole movie’s been such an ordeal adds more fuel to the criticism that Marvel’s been doing their Black characters dirty throughout the Multiverse Saga, not helped by last weekend’s announcement of a Ghost Rider movie riding into 2028. A third Black Panther hitting theaters that same year can only go so far, and if anything, damns the studio even further in many’s eyes, since the Wakandans have more going on than a simple vampire hunter, and they’re about to wrap a trilogy supplied by a handful of guest appearances across several live-action and animated series since 2021.

In June 2023, Patel filed a complaint that Stewartson was smearing him online by calling him a “blatantly incompetent chud” and a “Kremlin asset” who plotted to “overthrow the government” on January 6, 2021. Initially, Stewartson didn’t respond to the lawsuit, which led to Patel winning a $250,000 default judgment in August 2025. Stewartson challenged the default judgment on the grounds that he had no meaningful ties to Nevada, where the case was filed, and declared that Patel was a “googly-eyed Kremlin bitch” and, again, a “chud.” Stewartson celebrated the final order, which referenced his comment in a footnote. “I’d like to commend the judge for including ‘googly-eyed Kremlin bitch’ in his ruling,” Stewartson wrote on X Tuesday. “PSA: Now that my case is settled, you are free to refer to @FBIDirectorKash as a ‘chud,’ a ‘googly-eyed Kremlin bitch,’ and a ‘traitor’ without fear of legal repercussions!” he wrote in another post.

Then we got to the meaty stuff. We spent time talking to the game’s leadership team about what the game meant to them at a really high level. Through those conversations, and in line with our b r a n d p o s i t i o n i n g (this is a story for another Weekend Warmup), we landed on five potential areas a name could fall into, ranked by importance: Social aspects: duos, lobbies, IRL play, locals Progress-minded: something new, fresh, previously-unseen Tonally tough: aggro, bold, in-your-face IP-inspired: Runeterra, League of Legends terms Fighting game terminology: VS, attack, block A name can’t hit all of these, so if we had to prioritise League-association vs not, we looked back at who we made the game for in the first place: the FGC. But even with that weighting in mind, if we did choose a non-League name, Ahri’s giant hand in the box art featured front and centre would welcome League players into the fray (they could probably all fit). All said and done, the vibe was clear that we all wanted to move away from the simplicity as League of Fighters or Fighting Legends—we needed something much bolder, and focused on the strengths of duo play. We still loved League, though, so the goal was to get tons of options on the table, all aimed at different combinations of buckets. With this direction, our creative team went into overdrive. Can you believe we developed 400(!) potential names for Project L? Functional options like Rising Legends and Runeterra Rumble were not hitting the team’s desire to be bold and forward-facing. More extreme options like FIGHT4, DARE2BE and MYMAIN were– look, there are no bad ideas, okay? We listen and we don’t judge. Get ‘em on the board.

Before reading Nolan’s script, Scott was already familiar with Homer’s poem. He first read “The Odyssey” when he was a kid named Jacques Bermon Webster II growing up on the outskirts of Houston. His paternal grandmother, Bernice Webster, who was an English professor, assigned it to him as part of his summer reading curriculum. “That summer, she made me do an essay on the book, and I did some CliffsNotes bullshit,” he says, laughing. “I got a whoopin’ because I lied about reading it.” Today, Scott’s grandma feels pretty pleased with herself. “She’s like, ‘See? Marvel announced today that veteran editor Stephen Wacker has been named Editor-in-Chief, Marvel Comics. Wacker will take over from C.B. Cebulski, who will be moving to Japan to become Editor, Asia Originals, for Marvel.

The emphasis on real history lets the story collide with the wider convulsions of the age leading up to the Bronze Age collapse breaking the known world apart into legend”. In Greek mythology, Odysseus is the legendary king of Ithaca and the hero of Homer’s epic poem, The Odyssey. After developing the drama for a few years, the team is aiming to shoot early next year on location in Greece and Armenia and is hoping it can spawn an “expanded series universe”.

In this title, Blade has completed his training in Japan, gaining even greater physical and mental strength. He wields the demon-slaying sword Muramasa, a weapon capable of slicing through gods. Muramasa is normally kept sealed with its power restrained, but when Blade releases that power, the blade turns red and reveals its true potential.
Speaking of her, io9 asked if there were any plans to put Kara in some romantic hijinks of her own outside of Jimmy’s orbit. The pair admitted that yes, the team had episode ideas where she’d go on dates, from Steve Lombard to some supervillains. “Those [villain dates] would’ve ended in swift and violent justice,” said Wyatt, which sounds like a riot. Unfortunately, these ideas were some of many in the season to be cut, so the team opted to give Kara a more serious arc of coming into her own as a hero.

Behind the scenes, Weiss has reportedly been conducting an ongoing charm offensive. She's held off-the-record phone calls with journalists over recent months and met privately with media figures. The problem is "Weiss has no compelling story to sell," Darcy wrote.
While all the villains in My Adventures with Superman can be tied back to Krypton or Kryptonian technology, co-showrunner Jake Wyatt said My Adventures with Green Lantern will take a very different approach when designing the Red and Yellow Lanterns Jessica will have to fight. “We wanted to get weird with the bad guys," Wyatt said. Vance’s wife, would attend the dogsled race with one of her sons, and visit Nuuk as a tourist. “She’s a very nice woman, and she loves the concept of Greenland, so she is going there,” Trump said. Two U.S. military-transport planes delivered an advance security team, which drove around Nuuk in armored black S.U.V.s, and Denmark deployed around seventy police officers to maintain public order. Netflix announced a live-action Gears of War movie from director David Leitch (The Fall Guy, Bullet Train) and writer Jon Spaihts (Dune: Part III). EW can exclusively reveal that the film will tell "the origin story of Delta Squad, a ragtag crew of soldiers who wage a desperate war for survival against the Locust, a race of subterranean creatures set on destroying humanity," according to an official description. "The game really is about the bonds between teams. It's about brotherhood at its core," Booty says. "When you go visit the studio, their tagline is 'Never Fight Alone.' So when you think about that for a dramatic narrative, it's a pretty good starting point."

Two days later, on July 9, the two men were summoned to a meeting with Wiles and Bondi in the Situation Room complex. They were the last to enter the small, wood-paneled room. Seated around the table were Bondi, Wiles, Blanche and Taylor Budowich, one of Wiles’s deputies. The moment Bongino sat down, Wiles told him that she had been informed he leaked a sensitive story about Epstein and Trump to ABC News. “I’ll tell you what,” Bongino replied. “I’ll give you $100,000 cash right now. I’m not kidding. Walk out to West Exec, put that reporter on speaker and get him to admit I leaked it. A hundred thousand dollars.” Wiles snapped back, “Well, we all got ourselves into this —— ” Bongino cut her off. “No, no, no, no, no. We didn’t get ourselves into anything. But his posture was overtaken by the growing frenzy among his supporters. Throughout 2024, Greene had made it her mission to force the release of the files. And there were so many others. The far-right influencer Laura Loomer, the conservative activist Scott Presler, Chaya Raichik from Libs of TikTok. But when it came to propagating the Epstein files as evidence of a “deep state” capable of evil, two podcasters were not to be outdone: Kash Patel and Dan Bongino. Patel — a National Security Council director for counterterrorism and Defense Department chief of staff in the first Trump administration — had repeatedly claimed in podcast interviews that the government was hiding Epstein’s “black book” or client list, and he frequently asserted that the F.B.I. was deliberately withholding names to protect the powerful. Patel promised that a second Trump administration would release “everything” to restore public trust.
The false claim was not new. It had first been published in 1996 by Saturday Night magazine. Craig Kielburger sued; Saturday Night settled in 1999 for $319,000. Twenty-five years later, Canadaland republished the same claim as the cornerstone of an entire podcast series. The Kielburger family is now twice on the public record as having been falsely accused of the same misconduct. In both cases, the publishers responsible paid substantial damages. Canadaland never contacted Mrs. Kielburger before broadcast. Asked in court why no comment was sought, Mr. Brown said he "did not seek comment from the plaintiff for the same reason why I didn't seek comment from my own mother." Mr. Brown was also in possession of letters from the charity's accountant and the Ontario Federation of Labour that explicitly disproved the allegation, and neither was mentioned in the podcast.
