Totally agree. Contributing to open source is often the fastest way to learn how real software is built: code, issues, docs, design, reviews. And for visual/tooling projects, even small contributions like icons, UI polish, or documentation can make a big difference.
The hardest part isn't finding the right issue — it's realizing you already have something worth contributing. Every commit teaches you something the tutorials never will.
