Chris had been long trading under the DJ moniker Gentleman Kush, and i’d plucked my own name from a sleeve as homage to some of my favourite plagiarists, The Beastie Boys. The name Funkdub though was born out of a heavy night on the decks – digging deep into my Mo’Wax collection and the 1995 Sam Sever/The Raiders Of The Lost Art track, What’s That Sound? I just couldn’t get it out of my head.
