Seattle Fire proposes new technology for fire, medical and rescue responses by Kim Schmanke on July 14, 2026 The Seattle Fire Department is proposing to add up to three drones to its fleet of emergency response apparatus. The Emergency Response Aerial Technology – or ERAT – would be used in a limited number of fire, medical or rescue responses where having an aerial view would provide greater safety for firefighter/EMTs, paramedics and residents, and increase firefighting and rescue success. If approved by the City Council and Mayor, Seattle Fire will use ERAT for specific types of responses, including fires in buildings, brush fires, water rescues, mass casualty incidents, technical rescues, hazardous materials and energy responses. The department is also proposing to use the ERAT for less common but high-risk operations such as marine fires, railway incidents and after a natural disaster such as an earthquake.

The FBI says that anti-capitalist graffiti can indicate a mobilization to violence and can be reported to the bureau, according to a counterterrorism report obtained by Prism through a public records request. The public safety awareness report, dated Jan. 30, states that “anarchist violent extremists,” dubbed AVEs by the FBI, “pose [a] persistent public safety threat.” Among the activities the report claims are “potential indicators of AVE mobilization to violence” are “creating anti-capitalist, anti-fascist, anti-government, or anti-law enforcement graffiti,” which could necessitate law enforcement action. The report, which is intended for local, state, and other law enforcement agencies, was produced by the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division and its Office of Partner Engagement, which maintains the bureau’s relationships with local law enforcement. One agency that disseminated the report, the Washington State Fusion Center, shared it to its own email distribution list with the tags terrorism, ISIS, material support, and violent extremists.

Although Salah's Hebrew statements served to extend his interrogation, they did not give the GOI what it needed to convince the Americans that he had done anything illegal. The State Department steadfastly maintained that Salah's confessions were coerced and that his fund-raising activities were protected by law in the United States. It was undoubtedly this U.S skepticism that led Prime Minister Rabin to take an extraordinary step: He arranged for his “personal friend,” New York Times reporter Judith Miller, to observe Salah's eighteenth day of interrogation at the Ramallah facility through closed-circuit television. Access to the top-secret interrogation center was virtually unprecedented, being routinely denied to the Red Cross, human rights organizations, and even Israeli prison officials. Miller, who acknowledged that she does not understand Arabic, listened to thirty minutes of Arabic conversation between Salah and good cop “Nadav,” with an unidentified Shin Bet agent acting as translator. The brief questioning was apparently sufficient for Miller to write the story that appeared on the front page of the New York Times on 17 February 1993. DEA “Pass Throughs”When DEA agents become aware they may be conducting a “pass through,” DEA must notifythe ICE Title 21 Coordinator with responsibility for the border or POE area before conductingthe operation. The procedures set forth in Paragraph 5 above will apply, with the DEA Title 21Coordinator providing the mutually agreed upon notice to provide sufficient information todetermine whether a conflict exists.
Deconfliction for Controlled Deliveries Deconfliction for domestic and international controlled deliveries will be conducted in accordance with the provisions already set forth in the Interagency Cooperation Agreement. For a domestic controlled delivery, when authorized ICE agents become aware they may be conducting a controlled delivery or cold convoy, ICE must notify the DEA Title 21 Coordinator in the geographic area where the initial seizure occurred. TheDEA Title 21 Coordinator will then notify his or her counterpart in the DEA fielddivision where the delivery is expected to occur. DEA SEATTLE FIELD DIVISION ICE SAC SEATTLE LOCAL AMENDMENT ADDENDUM | To The Loeal Deconfliction Protocol Between the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Local addendum: Due to the large geographic areas and multiple offices covered by the ICE SAC Seattle and the DEA Seattle Field Division, each Special Agent in Charge will designate a permanent point of contact (POC) Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC), as well as an alternate permanent ASAC, to become the primary POC for all routine notifications regarding Title 21 investigative matters, as well as other routine notifications. Additionally, for sub-office coordination each agency will designate a Title 21 POC at the GS-15 Supervisor level to insure coordination and deconflition occurs timely as well as continuously throughout the course of investigations. ‘The individuals identified for this assignment will become the liaison conduits for routine matters of interagency notifications identified in the June 18, 2009, Interagency Coordination Agreement (ICA). However, the agencies agree that exigent circumstances (travel, leave, termination, death, etc.) might require non-permanent (acting) supervisory personnel to make required notifications when needed; such notifications will also satisfy the requirements of the ICA.

Deconfliction for Title 21 Operational Activity For all ICE Agents not assigned to a DEA led Enforcement or Task Force Group, prior to conducting any Title 21 investigative activity such as search warrants, arrest ‘warrants, undercover operations, and surveillance with a significant risk of alerting the ‘subjects to the presence of law enforcement, ICE, at a minimum, will provide the DEA ‘Title 21 Coordinator with: target name(s), personal identifying information, known address(es), associated telephone number(s), vehicle, vessel or aircraft identifying information, nationality, and law enforcement identification number to allow DEA and ICE to assess whether a conflict exists. Before conducting an enforcement operation in an investigation where DEA has information that the target is also engaging in alien smuggling, nondrug-related international illicit financial schemes, human trafficking, or significant quantities of counterfeit or other nondrug contraband, DEA will deconflict ‘with ICE using the same agreed upon deconfliction process.

On 12/06/2018, the FBI New York Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force (FBI-NY CEHTTF) initiated a child sex trafficking case following a request by the United States Attorneys Office, Southern District of New York (SDNY), based on several victims that had been sexually abused by JEFFREY EPSTEIN (Epstein) in the mid-2000's. Epstein was indicted on 07/02/2019 and arrested on 07/06/2019. On 08/10/2019, FBI-NY was notified Epstein committed suicide in his jail cell. The child sex trafficking investigation continued to pursue co-conspirators, including GHISLAINE MAXWELL (Maxwell). Maxwell was first mentioned in the case file on 04/23/2019. Victim interviews revealed Maxwell groomed minor victims by befriending them first, developed a rapport with victims, then attempted to normalize sexual abuse. Maxwell was present with the minor victims while victims were undressed in front of Epstein and instructed minor victims on how to massage Epstein, to include sexual contact. Note: SDNY proffered Maxwell with her Defense counsel prior to indictment.
