Define Your Character. Characterize the reality of yourself as you understand it. That may not be the truth, but it is your current truth as you live. Describe you in a way as free from the perceptions of others as possible. You are the only thing alive in a haunted house. Explain you to yourself.
You Killed Your Ghost. It’s okay! You didn’t want to do it. The blood is on your hands, however, and the stains remain. You acted out of neglect, fear, disdain. Whatever the reason, you were pressured to do so. Maybe you aren’t even aware that you’ve done this. If this is how you find out, take whatever time you need to mourn. You may feel guilty for what you’ve done, whether you did it of your own volition or not, but please know this is not the end. You must acknowledge Your Ghost before you can attempt to correct this with the only tool you have: Necromancy.

Perform an Apology. Do not misunderstand. This is not an ask for you to be performative. You must atone by casting a necromantic spell, a penance for separating your ghost from this mortal coil. Write a poem. Paint a portrait. Have a conversation. Ask yourself what it would take to forgive someone who has torn you from the sun’s warmth and has kept your remains in a closet. Whatever that is, it is your apology ritual.

The Magic of Necromancy: In a world where the powers that be want you to grind yourself into dust or simply want to kill you outright, it is imperative that you do not let the little parts of your spirit that make you YOU die. Not for good. Loving your ghost is an act of self-care and defiance of those who would see you become a wraith you don't recognize, yes, but that is not the primary goal of Necromancy. Far more than defiance; this is a step towards living because you love your ghost and your ghost loves you. If you do not love your ghost yet, you want to love your ghost. If you don’t know your ghost, this is your call from the grave. This necromance is euphoria and -ironically- a beautiful, fulfilling life you will live through this spectral union. Be excited to resurrect what was lost- what longs to be remembered, acknowledged, and held. This is the true magic of Necromancy.
