Every action of a coercive control tortured is about either control or avoiding accountability.
Speaking up and calling someone out who has intentionally mistreated and hurt you isn't hateful, is not revengeful, isn't holding a grudge, and it certainly isn't wrong. Calling out injustice, holding someone who was abusive to you, or hurt you accountable, sharing your story with others and using strong boundaries doesn't make you mean, rude or nasty. A toxic person and their enablers will likely shame you for speaking up, and claim you are all of the above.
Make no mistake: any trauma survivor you see discussing their struggle in public has had previous experiences of not being heard, not being believed and or being punished for disclosing their pain. Containing to speak their truth after all that is an act of unbelievable courage.

Don't talk to Mr about "believing survivors" because even with proof, we are still doubted. Still bullied by the abusers enablers. Still retraumatized by the legal system. And too often, the only time people finally believe us is when it's too late. And even then, the abusers enablers will still work harder to smear out names than hold the abuser accountable.
Real power does not come from institutions. Real power does not come from titles, credentials or influence. Real power comes from the refusal to participate in deception. A single honest person can destabilize an entire system of lies.

When you hear this believe victims. Your thoughts might be this "what about false accusations?" But the data tells a different story. Only about 30% of victims ever come forward. And of those, just 2-10% are considered false. That means less than 1% of all cases are false. Some are leveled "false" simply because there isn't enough evidence to prove them. False accusations are rare. Disbelief is not.
Abusers count on the fact that most people won't dig deeper. They rely on fake concern and controlled narratives so everything looks reasonable on the surface, because once someone looks at the full pattern instead of the months, the harm becomes impossible to explain away

Strategic isolation takes two forms: they make the environment or relationship so toxic you are forced to escape, or they make you look unstable or crazy so that everyone distances themselves or abandons you. Either way, the distance and isolation was designed. Even if you isolated yourself for protection, it was because of what was happening, not because you wanted to be without support. Scapegoated AAH
