June 2020. We escaped COVID lock-down and went canoeing up north!
1st in a series of flap procedures to patch up orbital approaches to brain base. In this case, access is through the upper eye lid. Globe of the eye and orbital contents are shifted medially while the zygomatic and a little bit of sphenoid are drilled away to harvest a flap from the deep temporalis muscle. This flap is reflected into the orbit and used to patch any access points made in either the frontal bone or sphenoid bones. Visible scars left? Almost none. ©Glen Oomen 2025. www.glenoomen.com
