Nicole Maines: Well I'd just seen you pondering that since it was a pre-transition character, it wasn't as bad as a man playing a woman, so I wasn't sure where you were coming from. Parker Molloy: I mean, I do think that. I think that Jared Leto going out there and cementing the idea of "hey look, a big masculine man in a dress! This is what a trans woman looks like!" is much more damaging than having a cis girl play a pre-everything trans boy in terms of how harmful it is.
