Big fan of the evil HOA episode in Season 6. There’s literally nothing else like it in the show, but it fits right in, while also being an accurate depiction of the average HOA and their use of Tulpas.
I think it’d be valuable for all animals to have unique identifiers if they have the same silhouette. It’s easier with Pterosaurs, just giving them unique crests or tails, and the sauropods and peltas have unique osteoderms. But the Dryosaur shaped guys pretty much don’t have anything like that, outside of Mutta being in that group now. So this rocks for me!
Manidens can fill Chakisaurus’s dietary niche entirely, while adding insects, bees, and foraging. Plus it’s more likely to have been arboreal, I think.
Patagopelta, Isaberrysaura, and Stegouros are there for comparison, but seriously: Paranthodon just has a bit of face fossilized, Dravido has that and some pieces that are so weathered that some people think it’s actually Plesiosaur bones, and I don’t even KNOW what they found for Amargastegos, but it was so fragmentary that it got invalidated and lost it’s Wikipedia page. By comparison, Isaberrysaura has the head, the neck, the whole torso, and a bunch of the spine. It’s really just missing the legs and any integumentary stuff, like plates or spines, which is why so many versions of it look so different.
…This way I’m just shifting the scale. The line/width of my ruler is just 5ft now, retroactively making every animal smaller by maybe half a foot. My license still says 5’11”, but I haven’t been measured by a doctor in like a decade, and I am 90% sure I’ve lost a FEW inches to spine compression (yeah that can happen due to stress and bad posture). I’d go see a chiropractor, but I can’t afford it and don’t care enough about my hight. If anything I should see a chiropractor for my chronic neck pain, but I’ve been living with that for TWO decades.
To be clear, if I ever did make this project I to a game, none of these guys would be likely to meet outside of testing waaaaaaaaay down the line. Ligabueino is my boy, and the rest are just remixes for hypothetical alternate maps. Look, I gotta use all this hyperfixation energy somehow, and I don’t know how to do Inverse Kinematics or Path Finding in an engine, so we get theory crafting instead.
Top to bottom, Argentina, Madagascar, Australia, and India. Noisy little, overconfident freaks, like Monster Hunter’s Jaggi. Kickable when alone, a little scary if there’s like ten. Just in different flavors for different regions.
“Belvic” is the only word he says, so I think that’s his name… The “Back of Barbas” mod is highly beneficial. A “recruit anyone” mod let me “speak” to a caged and therefore non-hostile werewolf, turning him into a follower. If I ever dismiss him, his enemy programming takes over and he attacks, so he’s the most permanent follower. I like to wonder what type of person he used to be. Odahviing is just a cool ally to have. Defected from the dragon god of destruction called the “World Eater” to follow you instead. SICK.
I’m using “Arboreal Climbing” for animals that would clamber up and down surfaces like a squirrel, happy even hanging under branches, and “non-Arboreal Climbers” as animals like Chilesaurus here, who could clamber up and slide down trees and rocks and such, but don’t enjoy the same freedom of motion as the Arboreal Climbers, and are too heavy for all but the thickest branches. Arboreal Climbers can basically just live in trees their whole lives, barring food and water needs, depending on diet, but the non-Arboreal Climbers really only go into trees for safety, to escape predators or rest off the ground. Mirasaura would be the Hyperodapadon of this slice, but I don’t know if it should function the same way on a full roster. Might be too small to take up memory on a map. Bette to just be a flashy visual signal for wood boring bugs or termites, a visual “effect” that plays a fleeting animation when disturbed?
I find it weird how I don’t think I’ve ever played another game that does climbing like Shadow of Colossus?? Like yeah, it’s silly looking sometimes, getting rag-dolled around by momentum, but that’s funny, especially if your an arboreal critter that can tank a fall like a Slugcat.
My Ligabueino can easily 1v1 a Hyperodapadon (tho they’ll mess you up if you hesitate too much), would need at least two to even try for a Bonatitan, and four to six to risk Amargastegos. That’s why I’m thinking that NPC animals shouldn’t need to be able to die of hunger or thirst. Instead, hunger drives them to food, and the hungrier they are, the more desperate and aggressive they become. A Ligabueino with an empty hunger bar will try to 1v1 a Stegos, and die, so there’s no need to let it die of starvation the boring way. Save that for players. Meanwhile, prey will be attacked more often by desperate predators and die that way, and a starving herbivore will be more aggressive, so more likely to stand and fight, even if it’s woefully outnumbered.
Thinking about what would be good animals to Remix into Australian animals with minimal new work. Also Numbat. Playable Numbat would be fun.

Blue outline is for Marine animals, Green is for Fresh Water animals, and Red if for animals that cannot be killed. Their job is to show players food, not become food, partially because baring Endoceras and Paranthropus, they are all endangered animals RIGHT NOW. There are so few Vaquita left, it makes me SO sad.
