The billionaires party comes in different flavours - currently the far right is their political vehicle of choice, but that changes little of what they are trying to achieve. It does, though have horrific fallout for the communities that are the whipping boys of the far right they are manipulating

Cracking breakdown Grace!

In defence of the right (not just the far right), this corruption stems from a belief that 'this is simply how the world works'. Powerful people swap favours and increase their power and wealth... which will then, of course, trickle down, so we should all be grateful.

Absofriginlutely spot on.. And when they do it they blame the poor, and immigration for the lack of money. 🤦‍♂️.. And the easily fed and lead cry and moan at the poor and immigrants, while emptying their own pockets, for the rich.

Thank you Grace, this cannot be said often enough, and you explained it very eloquently.

if everybody's corrupt, voters want to lower taxes so that corrupt people don't get their money which is why I think you can't win the next election by talking about left or right, you need to talk about 1% and others bsky.app/profile/gary...

"Just as corrupt as the people they replace" doesn't sell the idea of voting for somebody else instead of them. It creates the "they are all the same" standpoint which disenfranchises voters to the benefit of the far right. This could have been better framed.

And a fourth point is we know that Reform and the Tories are gaining popularity by promising to cut green energy investment and promote fossil fuels again! 🙄
