They double down on every wrong-headed take there is with an unbelievable smugness. I try not to fall for their ragebait, but praising Sony for killing physical media is incredibly boneheaded. Is provocation the only way they can get clicks?

I know (because content writers I know have told me) that the economics of running a website these days are all about provoking people to click on social media or news feeds or whatnot to get enough readers to get those ad dollars in... But the naked lack of shame at Polygon is really incredible.
It bothers me more that someone just rephrased a Bluesky post and called it an article. As much as it hurts to say, the headline isn’t wrong if looking purely at numbers.
