Silas Weir Mitchell as Monroe. He sits at a table lit in a golden hued color from a nearby lamp in a multicolored cardigan reading from an old Grimm book. Monroe has always been written and performed with such a care for balance. He has the potential to be truly violent but chooses to practice compassion and kindness. If that's not an allegory for succeeding in overcoming toxic masculinity, I don't know what is. They gave the character depth (helped majorly by the actor's ability to inspire depth) and opportunities to have emotions (including anger) and be able to regulate those emotions and learn from them. In addition, the man's wardrobe is just perfect. Seriously. I want to shrink down everything he wears and own it.

The person has long curly brown hair and is wearing browline tortoise shell glasses. They are wearing a white a-line undershirt. Against them is a cat seen from chest up. This is Sullivan, the brown and white tabby who lives with them. Above the neckline of their a-line is part of a tattoo. The visible part shows a butterfly, though at least one person has said the wings look like a scrotum if only seen the top of. This is important to mention because if you cannot see it clearly to ascertain if it does in fact look like a scrotum, you need to know it's possible it does. But it's not. It's a yellow sulfur butterfly from the side.

Two crows drawn with alcohol marker and ink on paper in a floating gold frame. This is the "Love of a Murder series: Collared and White-billed". Each crow is on a branch. The top crow is facing left toward a gold-toned bottle cap glued to the frame, decorated with a golden heart on it and an indention to represent a beak holding it. It has a black beak and a white patch of feathers around its neck. The bottom crow is yelling, orange beak opened wide, toward another gold-toned cap glued to the frame, with a golden heart painted on it and a purposeful indent on the side. The rest of it, aside from its beak, is black.
My 3 works I submitted to the gallery show. They're all in gold frames as the theme was "gaudy gold frames". They hang one under the other on a chain in a row. The first frame has two crows. The second has one crow. The third has the bust of a crow drawn on black paper which is very hard to see. More details explained in thread on the individual pictures.
A pair of hexagonal cuff links with matching tie clip. The cuff links and tie clip have a decorative gold-toned boarder. They have a profile of a white horse head with a black background on each one. The white horse heads are outlined in gold-tone. The cuff links are in a clear plastic étui and the tie clip is shown on top of the box.
Helbros brand ladies watch. Very small marquise-shaped bezel and crystal. Gold-toned with decorative border around the crystal. Small settings for very tiny possible diamonds on top and bottom. Mechanical winding watch. Speidel flexible gold-toned band. Displayed across my hand.
Stanley brand hand-crank drill. It sort of looks like a hand mixer with a similar crank function, except there's a drill bit adapter at one end and a large black handle at the other, the crank being a red circular contraption with another handle for turning at the center. The drill bit adapter can change sizes the same way an electric drill can, except you manually turn it.
Picture of a golden pocket watch on a black velvet-like backdrop (which is actually a molded display from the original packaging). The pocket watch is open-face with Roman numeral's in black writing on 12 white shield-shaped designs against a golden dial. In the middle of the dial it's easy to make out the company name "WESTCLOX" in faux metallic embossing along with other "embossed" designs across the face of the watch. The watch has a large golden winder at the top and a loop which attaches to a segmented golden fob. The hands on the dials are black. A glare shines off of the hard plastic "crystal".

(I apparently take good pictures when I'm mildly uncomfortable. I'll have to remember this in the future. Photogenic only when physically struggling a bit.)

My cat, Penelope, photo-ed in the center of my living room. her eyes are wide and her ears are just entering "airplane mode" (which means that they are just tilting back in an expression that looks like mild shock/disgust). She is a dappled ginger/tortie tabby cat with white markings and bright green eyes. Surrounding her are the objects of her destruction and play, cat houses, a scratching pad, a reusable shopping bag, and a string of toys.
Black paper art of a Torresian Crow from my Crowvember series. It's done in white and black color pencil. The crow is shouting at the viewer from its place on a limb. I chose this one as my favorite because it was a challenging position to draw and I feel like I did pretty okay with it! Signed: Finn EMG 11/22/23 "Torresian"

It's wearing an oversized green cardigan with bit brown and yellow buttons. Beneath the cardigan it's wearing a lavender shirt with purple stripes. It's wearing gold glasses and has a brown eye. Instead of being smooth feathers at the top of its head it has large curls that mimic my hair texture. It's standing a bit haughtily, one wing on its hip and the other holding a coffee much that has steam tendrils trailing up. On the coffee mug is written "Coffee make s me poop." It's legs are long and scaled with talons at the end of each toe. It looks like a pleasant creature. Something I would aspire to be.

The ink pen lines make up the details like feathers on the wings and bark on the branch. This crow has an eye so dark brown it appears black. It's body is elongated and it seems to be peering in the distance. I'd like to live a life from above to see who I'd be if I could experience existence from the top instead of the bottom.

The first one to the left is a Western Jackdaw. It has a smaller beak than the other two, pale eye, and a slighter body. The Jackdaw's coloration is a dark face, chest, and wings and light grey for the rest. The second is a Bismarck Crow. He has the biggest beak of all three. Being in the middle his lower half is mostly covered by the other two. (This is mostly due to me not finding a good reference of this bird standing on a flat surface.) He has one pale blue eye. The last bird is called the Little Crow. This fella's body is big and fluffy and has brown highlights. He has a white eye. They're all facing to the left. They all have their wee talons splayed and their feet are the most detailed part of their bodies taking me the most time to line them for anatomy and accuracy Dinosaur feets are intricate!
Scan of art done with alcohol marker of a Daurian Crow. The bird is perched on a wire and the perspective is from below. It's a black and white bird, like many in the Corvus family. It's face and beak are dark and it's wings and tail are black. The darkness of its face comes down to halfway down its chest. It sort of looks like it has a sleeveless white hoodie on. It's little talons can be seen beneath the white chest feathers poking out to grasp the wire it's perched on. I attempted to add more texture and dimension to the white parts of its body. It's a bit blocky, though, and I'm not quite satisfied with it. But I'm happy for the opportunity to experiment. The background s blue but there is a texture of pale dilution in marks surrounding the bird almost like an aura.

The Rook is standing wide legged with it's mouth open a bit haughtily. It looks as if it has its wings on its hips in giving some sort of attitude. The alcohol marker is applied so it blends with the other colors around it giving it an almost watercolor light texture in places. The bird is black with a light beak and neck. The background is splotches of yellow in pale green to give the impression of fuzzy foliage. It's the first picture I've done here with a full background. I am mostly happy with how it turned out. The next picture will show things in greater detail and give more impression of the texture created by one alcohol marker hitting another color and bleeding into it.
Black paper art colored with white color pencil and brown for the eye. This is a Piping Crow which has a white chest and strip along its neck joining like a bib. This art shows it standing on what looks like a grate, highly contrasted talons standing with claws and leg segments highlighted in white as light shines off of them. Most of the back of its body and tail is implied as it's black against black paper. But its chest is bright and soft and its beak shows out in very pale greys. It's eye is the only other color, brown surrounded by white accents that make the folds of its lid and eye socket.

It's small legs are far apart and its talons are splayed to keep its balance as it leans toward you and screams. Happy Holidays. It's a black crow but it has white reflections on its feathers that give it a heavily contrasted look. It's eyes are genuinely white in nature and so I've left them as such in the picture.

It's position is beak down and body elongated. Its beak points to the second crow which is brightly and colorfully highlighted and surrounded by white color pencil shading.

Drawing of a bird on a sketchbook. Medium is alcohol marker. I did not conquer the alcohol marker very well here thus this bird is highlighted STRONGLY in vibrant blue. It is perched on a brown tree with bright green moss on it. It holds a little stem in its beak in an expert like fashion. It will probably use a similar device when it is allowed to evolve to its full potential and make us its servants. I will gladly follow it.
Art of the ʻAlalā bird of Hawaii. Though this crow is black I decided to emphasize the colors of bright brown in its coat. The medium is acrylic marker so there is no subtlety in the color transitions. It's a very blocky and visually exciting image. The crow is leaning over with a stick in its thick beak. It is staring inquisitively ahead. It's a tool using crow so it is probably figuring out how to use its acquired stick in the best way possible for its intended goal. It's not a full body art of a crow but its head and body until right before its tail and cuts off before its feet. Beside the head of the crow I've written its Hawaiian name: ʻAlalā It's signed "Finn" "EMG" "Hawaiian" "11/13/23"
Sketchbook with the art of a Gray Crow. This crow has a very pale beak that looks pink like a blush from beak to around the eyes, which are blue. Its head is white that fades into the brown/gray tone of its body. It's perched on a tree branch with its pink talons sitting lightly on the multicolored bark. It's facing right and though this artistic interpretation incites a sensation of the bird being mildly surprised or stressed the picture reference certainly didn't indicate any emotion aside from mild curiosity. Thus, this mildly stressed look must've been a reflection of the artist using a new medium for the first time!

The top crow looks much more docile and calm while the bottom looks a bit bothered or at least agitated enough to need to scream.

It has a white patch of feathers on its neck that is exposed. It's eye is bright red. It's a plump fellow with its beak partially opened. It's very inquisitive.
