Amazed by Merlin Bird ID. Was just walking the dogs and a bird the shape/size of a red-tailed hawk swooped by and perched on a branch. It had a distinctive striped tail I had never seen. Even with the potato quality of this photo from far away, the correct species "Red-shouldered Hawk" was option 3!

Thank you! We have these around my house in abundance... they sound like seagulls. I'm grateful for this gorgeous picture of one, in better definition than we ever see. Very cool.
