I grew up with the NES, have been ROM digging through its library since the NESticle days, and have gone through a good chunk of the scans of magazines of the era. But sometimes I come across a game I鈥檝e never heard of and can only assume was slipped into ROM sets from an alternate universe

I keep forgetting that Activision even *made* NES games. Had a similar experience last year upon learning of Galaxy 5000, the most made-up-sounding title for a space shmup that ever wasn't actually a shmup at all.

one I have heard of, but never played whatsoever. I could see it having very Fake Game Energy though, lol.

I think I might have seen this mentioned (not reviewed) in something like EGM or GamePro. Definitely did not play it. But apparently it got a Famicom release through Pack-In Video. I don't remember the Famidaily for this one at _all_.
